Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Labor & Delivery department, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
- Lead and support nursing and clinical staff through recruitment, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards.
- Monitor departmental performance and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and hospital leadership to support coordinated care and meet departmental goals.
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, and budgeting to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience in healthcare
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Additional maternal or neonatal certifications are a plus
- Experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting with a focus on maternal and neonatal care
