• Full-time, day shifts, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an ophthalmology-focused surgical setting, including Cataract, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplant, and Ocular Plastic surgeries
• Participate in patient teaching, considering patients' age and cultural needs
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols in daily practice
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the surgery center
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut RN license
• BLS certification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent problem-solving abilities
• Experience in ophthalmology preferred (e.g., Cataracts, Glaucoma, Ocular Plastics)
• CNOR certification recommended

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ophthalmology surgical experience (Cataracts, Glaucoma, Ocular Plastics)
• Strong patient education skills
