• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and Progressive Care Units (PCU) as needed.
• Ensure staff and patient safety within a secure corrections environment.
• Monitor and manage active oncology and non-oncology patient diagnoses, including treatments such as solid tumors, hematology, surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, and other critical conditions.
• Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage IV therapies, and respond to emergency situations.
• Utilize systems such as EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams.

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license (compact or state license) at the time of submission.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Epic charting experience is required.
• Minimum 12-hour shift availability, with flexibility for night shifts.
• Willingness to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract offer.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with medical-surgical or telemetry units.
• Strong assessment and emergency response skills, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Experience with IV therapy, medication protocols, and respiratory support devices such as CPAP, BIPAP, and HFNC.

• Travel and local candidates accepted; RTO should be built into the contract.

• Previous employees eligible after six months away; current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at Ohio State University hospital locations.
