Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title

• Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Day shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-risk perinatal care in a Level II maternity unit with comprehensive services including Level II NICU.
• Deliver direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safety and positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including providers and support staff, to manage complex obstetric cases.
• Float within the hospital unit and to sister facilities as needed, maintaining flexible support during various shifts.
• Assist with triage and labor assessments to prioritize patient care effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington state or a Compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience in a busy facility.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring.
• Ability to provide care in a Level II Trauma Center setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in facilities handling 200+ deliveries, with consideration for candidates from facilities with 100-200 deliveries.
• Strong assessment skills, including specific experience in sterile vaginal examinations (SVE).
• Ability to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities confidently.
• Experience working with EPIC electronic charting system.
