Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Days)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 5 days per week, Days shift (8 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care within the operating room or surgical setting, utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, care plans, and recovery processes, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to develop long-range care plans and handle contingencies effectively.
• Delegate tasks to other care providers as appropriate to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical or operating room nursing setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a high-acuity surgical environment.
• Knowledge of perioperative procedures and protocols.
