Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Telemetry (Trauma Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Days shifts, 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a trauma surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, covering various patient populations including trauma, orthopedics, and urology.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system.
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including holidays and every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ASN or higher).
• Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact state license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar clinical setting working under a professional license, or 18 months with specialized experience.
• Experience in trauma, surgical, or telemetry nursing preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital setting with Meditech EMR.
• Ability to float between units and adapt to various patient needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
