- Travel, Days shifts, 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a trauma surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed, covering various patient populations including trauma, orthopedics, and urology.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR system.
- Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including holidays and every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing (ASN or higher).
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact state license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar clinical setting working under a professional license, or 18 months with specialized experience.
- Experience in trauma, surgical, or telemetry nursing preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital setting with Meditech EMR.
- Ability to float between units and adapt to various patient needs.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
