Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments to ICU patients, including nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, and blood gas analysis.
- Monitor and manage patient ventilation and oxygenation using various medical equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer medications and perform procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including one 24-hour shift approximately every 5-6 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Valid Virginia State License.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably ICU.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous ICU or critical care experience.
- Proficiency with ventilators, blood gas analysis, and advanced respiratory equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
