Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

• Tuscaloosa, AL

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment
• Days and hours: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Full-time, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume Level III Trauma and Level II Stroke Center
• Float between units and hospitals as needed to meet staffing demands
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Administer treatments and medications according to protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact state (no temporary licenses accepted)
• AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS or Red Cross certifications
• NIH certifications including TNCC and Secure on-site
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience, or 18 months if licensed at the highest professional level, with at least 1 year in the emergency field

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center or Level II Stroke Center preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system
