Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care to patients in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
  • Serve as an active member of the nursing team, utilizing scope of practice to deliver appropriate care.
  • Respect patient rights and maintain the dignity of all residents.
  • Follow facility protocols and assist in implementing care plans.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
  • Valid LPN license in good standing in the State of Alaska.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to pass and maintain competency assessments for the role.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • One year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred, but recent graduates are welcome.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment such as thermometers, pulse oximetry, and Datascope.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
