Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry (Night Shift)

• Burlington, NC

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours per week), nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including holidays and EOW as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry department with a focus on stroke (neuro) patient needs
• Monitor patients remotely and on the unit, including telemetry, feeding tube management, and IV access
• Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound care as required
• Follow isolation precautions and apply wound vac management protocols
• Assist with patient safety and comfort, maintaining an appropriate nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital experience, including telemetry and neuro patient care
• Current BLS, NIH, and EPIC electronic health record experience
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (two attempts allowed) prior to start
• Experience with feeding tube care, IV starts, port access, blood administration, and line management
• Knowledge of patient safety protocols, wound care, and isolation procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro/stroke patient populations in a hospital setting
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience
• Previous travel nurse experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Comfortable floating between various Cone Health facilities within a 50-mile radius
