Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a Family Medicine Clinic setting.
- Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established standards and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality, cost-effective, and efficient care.
- Lead and support clinic staff, including unit secretaries, PCTs, CMAs, LPNs, and RNs, to optimize patient flow and care processes.
- Serve as a resource for clinical staff, applying age-specific and culturally sensitive care considerations.
- Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and competency requirements.
- Administer treatments, medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient education across all age groups.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
- Graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 4 years of charge nurse experience in a clinic or urgent care setting.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform nursing duties according to Alaska state practice regulations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in family medicine or outpatient clinic settings.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in medical terminology and documentation.
- Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data, and adapt to flexible work schedules.
