• Full-time, night shifts, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Administer safe and effective respiratory care as ordered by physicians, including specialty areas such as Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation, perform airway management, and assist with intubations.
• Conduct patient assessments, interpret blood work and diagnostic data, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Perform arterial blood gas draws, troubleshoot respiratory equipment, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Document all procedures accurately in accordance with department policies.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff, students, and residents.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program with NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• NRP certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• At least one year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience.
• Ability to evaluate patient respiratory status and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pulmonary diagnostics.
• Knowledge of cardiac diagnostic procedures such as EKG and Holter monitoring.
