Job Title

• Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Contract, 13 weeks, Night shifts (3x12 hours), weekdays, some weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit setting on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Monitor telemetry and perform IV starts as required
• Manage patients with varying acuity levels, including Progressive Care and Telemetry patients
• Follow unit protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Document accurately using Cerner EMR platform

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (WV or Compact; pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1.5-2+ years of experience in Stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care units
• BLS and ACLS certifications via American Heart Association
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to read and interpret strips efficiently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a larger healthcare facility or travel nursing preferred
• Experience with PALS certification is a plus
• Flexible scheduling, including availability for block scheduling on weekends

Orientation details will be scheduled every other Thursday. Full documentation required by noon Monday prior to start date.
