Key Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of respiratory care for patients across the age spectrum, from neonates to geriatrics.
• Perform intubation procedures and arterial blood gas analysis (both puncture and interpretation).
• Manage ventilators and other respiratory therapy equipment.
• Work in a busy respiratory department, supporting clinical needs promptly and accurately.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Document all procedures accurately in Epic EMR, passing relevant competency exams.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with ABG endorsement.
• Valid state license (TN license or compact license) in place at time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience.
• Epic EMR experience within past 12 months, with ability to pass competency exam.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience performing arterial blood gases and intubation in a hospital setting.
• Ability to float between departments as needed.
• Previous travel or local experience preferred.

Additional Notes

• Shifts are 17:45 to 06:15, with every other weekend required.
• Travelers must have all required certifications in hand and pass a skills competency.
• No block or schedule requests will be accommodated.
• Must be able to shave and pass a fit test for respiratory equipment.
• Returning travelers are welcome; please specify during submission.
• All certifications and licenses must be current and in hand at submission.
