Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to labor and delivery patients, practicing independently and demonstrating clinical expertise.
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions based on nursing standards and protocols.
• Monitor fetal and maternal conditions, including electronic fetal monitoring, and respond to changes promptly.
• Educate patients and their families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and safety.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).
• NRP certification.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or approved AWHONN course.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting.
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and neonatal care.
• Strong assessment and patient education skills.
