Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (13-Week Contract)

• El Paso, TX

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including monitoring and assisting during delivery procedures.
• Circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and other operative deliveries.
• Administer medications such as oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and other postpartum medications following unit protocols.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using hospital equipment, including fetal monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Adhere to unit policies and maintain a professional, team-oriented demeanor.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, including circulating during cesarean deliveries.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift, including call responsibilities twice per schedule.
• Prior experience in a maternal level III facility is preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Postpartum care background.
• Familiarity with OB outpatient procedures such as Rhogam administration, iron infusions, and antenatal steroid administration.
• Experience with obstetric emergencies and unit protocols.
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume maternity units with a focus on maternal and fetal safety.
