Key Responsibilities
- Assist with procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology (EP) suite.
- Prepare and set up equipment, including fluoroscopy systems and EP devices.
- Monitor patient vitals and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias during procedures.
- Maintain sterile field and assist with vascular access and device implantation.
- Support accurate documentation using EPIC and McKesson systems.
- Respond promptly to on-call situations within 30 minutes as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac cath lab.
- Active compact license valid in any non-Swedish facility; Swedish facilities honor active license.
- Experience with procedures such as cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and right heart catheterizations, IABP, Impella, PCI, PTCA, AICD, and other cardiac interventions.
- Knowledge of fluoroscopy equipment (Siemens).
- Ability to respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes.
- Proficiency with Pyxis medication systems.
- Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson documentation systems.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with optical coherence tomography (OCT), pulmonary artery line insertion, TAVI/TAVR procedures, and Watchman device placement.
- Use of vascular closure devices such as Perclose and StarClose.
- Prior experience working in a hybrid OR and complex procedural environments.
