• Medical Oncology Nurse - Night Shift

• Full-time, Night shift (3x12 hours), rotating contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients with various solid tumor cancers, including new diagnoses, ongoing treatment, and end-of-life care.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data; ensure effective telemetry monitoring and patient safety.
• Administer chemotherapy and antineoplastic agents following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to infection prevention and fall prevention protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
• Support patients through their cancer journey, providing patient education and emotional support.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital oncology or medical-surgical setting.
• Valid RN license (compact or state license) in Ohio or a neighboring state.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and monitoring.
• Ability to self-schedule shifts during the rotation; strong organizational skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology-specific certification such as ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification.
• Previous travel or agency nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Experience with computerized charting and working in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Notes

• Shift schedule includes nights only (3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts).
• Float coverage required to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units.
• Strict credentialing process with Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon contract signing; compliance deadline is Tuesday prior to start.
• Candidates must be responsive to credentialing and travel requirements; outside Ohio candidates will need to complete fingerprinting locally or via mailed packet.
• RTO (Request for Time Off) must be approved and built into the contract.
• Candidates should have references from managerial or supervisory roles; at least one from a formal leadership position.
• Previous travel experience preferred; no coworker references accepted.
