Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week contract, night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to patients in a busy emergency department setting.
• Manage a heavy caseload including strokes, cardiovascular cases, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis.
• Assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patient responses.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond effectively to emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Louisiana or a compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS certification from AHA.
• PALS certification from AHA.
• TNCC certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a high-acuity or emergency setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with stroke, cardiovascular, diabetic, and septic patients.
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills.
• Ability to handle a high-pressure environment independently.
