• Travel, 13-week contract, full-time, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Troffessional PCU/IMC/Stepdown unit, managing up to 34 beds across two units
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms; administer cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips following protocol
• Assist with procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and NG/dobhoff tube placements
• Conduct hourly patient rounding during day shifts and every 2 hours overnight, ensuring proper communication via boards and AIDET protocols
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and utilize available tech support to deliver compassionate, family-centered care
• Float between units as needed, adhering to hospital policies and maintaining flexibility in assignments

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or applicable state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with IV insertions, cardiac monitoring, and managing multiple oxygen delivery systems including bipaps and high flow O2
• Proficiency in patient documentation using Meditech or similar systems
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with stroke, post-cardiac cath care, and wound vac troubleshooting
• Peritoneal dialysis experience and peripheral IV skills are a plus
• Ability to perform procedures such as thoracentesis, central line dressing changes, and tube feedings
• Experience in a fast-paced, family-oriented hospital environment
