Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary services to patients of all ages.
• Administer respiratory therapies in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Monitor and manage ventilator support, perform ABG procurement and analysis, and conduct chest physiotherapy.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and procedures, ensuring respectful and dignified care.
• Document all therapies accurately and assist in developing or updating departmental procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to solve problems related to patient respiratory care.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program or equivalent with an Associate's degree.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience in respiratory treatment of hospital patients.
• Valid credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (e.g., CRT, CRTT, RRT).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications encouraged.
• Ability to read and interpret physician orders, technical manuals, and hospital policies.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with medical staff and patients.
• Ability to accurately document therapies and interpret technical instructions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with adult, pediatric, and infant ventilators.
• Familiarity with airway management, ABG analysis, and pulmonary function testing.
• Knowledge of respiratory medications, delivery methods, and related contraindications.
• Comfortable working with complex medical equipment such as EKGs, Holter monitors, and arterial blood gas analyzers.
