Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry, Night Shift

• Tuscaloosa, AL

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shift, 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma, surgical, orthopedics, and urology patients in a busy acute care unit.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, covering nights, holidays, and alternating weekends.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists.
• Assist with patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Support patients through testing, observation, and recovery phases, delivering individualized attention.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Active Alabama or Compact RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Current BLS or Red Cross certification through AHA.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a similar specialty or recent 18 months of practice under a high-level license.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous trauma, surgical, orthopedics, or urology nursing experience.
• Ability to float across multiple units and adapt to different clinical settings.
