Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 42-bed dedicated Stroke, Neuro, and Cardiac unit, managing neurological and cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and assignments
• Work 12-hour shifts during days, with every other weekend rotation and 5 holidays as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists and neurologists to ensure high standards of care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow practice standards for complex neuro-cardiac patients

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Valid RN license for the state of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in a similar specialty
• Proficiency in Meditech EMR system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing neuro and cardiac patient populations
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to various hospital units and settings
