Key Responsibilities
- Provide diagnosis and treatment for a variety of medical and surgical patients in an acute care hospital setting.
- Support patients with conditions such as ICU cases, stroke, neurological issues, dysphagia, respiratory concerns, and cognitive challenges.
- Follow physician orders and collaborate with medical staff to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Document patient progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Support a diverse caseload supporting patients throughout their hospital stay.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15-18 months of recent experience in a specialty acute care setting.
- Active Georgia State License for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in hospitals and supporting acute care patients.
- Familiarity with MBS/FEES procedures is a plus but not required.
- Experience with various diagnoses including ICU, neurological, and dysphagia cases.
