Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services to acute care patients across a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, neurological, stroke, dysphagia, respiratory, and cognitive conditions.
- Support patients based on physician orders, ensuring timely and effective intervention.
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Support a wide range of patient needs, including assessments and therapy for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment activities.
- Adhere to hospital policies and maintain compliance with licensing and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Georgia State License for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 15-18 months of recent relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) preferred.
- Recent experience in acute care environments preferred, with familiarity in MBS/FEES being a plus but not required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in hospital or acute care settings.
- Proficiency in MBS/FEES procedures.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
