• IR/Special Procedures Technician
Location
• Akron, OH
Schedule / Job Type
• Part-time, 2 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in performing interventional radiology procedures and special imaging procedures.
• Support imaging team with patient positioning, prepping, and maintaining sterile environments.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality, accurate imaging results.
• Follow all safety protocols and assist with patient care during procedures.
• Document procedures and assist with equipment troubleshooting as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in IR or Special Procedures.
• Valid Ohio license in hand at time of submission; compact licenses accepted for starts from 1/1/23 onward.
• Active certifications, with nothing pending, relevant to IR/Special Procedures.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with acceptable scores.
• Negative drug screen (10-panel + Nicotine) within the last 12 months.
• BCI/FBI background checks completed within 48 hours of start.
• Ability to obtain badge and complete onsite fingerprinting prior to start date.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical radiology environment.
• Familiarity with IR/Special Procedures equipment and protocols.
