Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans for critically ill patients.
• Administer advanced life support, including ventilator and trach care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to perform procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs, and ensure medical equipment functions properly.
• Respond swiftly to life-threatening situations following established protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients’ families, advocating for patient needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years recent ICU RN experience in an Acute Care or LTAC setting.
• Ventilator and trach care, wound management, and central line experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Valid Texas RN license or multi-state RN license.
• Ability to float to lower acuity units as needed based on census.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a travel or agency nursing role.
• Familiarity with working in hospital environments with high-acuity patients.
