Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgeries including CABG, MVR, AVR, TVR, ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, Impella insertion/removal, and Thoracic/Lung procedures.
• Assist with intraoperative patient management and ensure adherence to surgical protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Follow especially strict documentation and charting procedures, with EPIC experience within the past 12 months.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and department policies and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid TN State Nursing License (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse in a CVOR or similar surgical setting
• Current ACLS certification
• EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months
• Ability to pass a competency exam in charting and clinical skills
• Must be able to pass a fit test (facial hair may disqualify)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience handling complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Familiarity with surgical case management including ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, and Impella procedures
• Prior travel or local staffing experience preferred

Additional Notes

• Contract hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with one night call weekly (starting at 2:30 PM until 6:00 AM the next morning), and every 5th weekend from Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 6:00 AM
• Travelers must be willing to float and adhere to compliance requirements including RTO policies at the time of submission
• No block or schedule requests will be accommodated or added to the contract
