Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title

• ICU Registered Nurse - MICU3 - Nights

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care in a 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit for adult patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Exhibit professional competency in complex monitoring and treatments.
• Adapt to floating to other units and hospitals as needed to support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Valid registered nurse license for the state of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar ICU setting.
• Nursys license verification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification for those working in pediatric units.
• Additional certifications like AHA NIC or Red Cross are a plus.
• Experience working with Meditech EMR system.
