Key Responsibilities

• Provide education and instruction to hospital staff, focusing on clinical training and staff development.
• Serve as a resource for healthcare education, training programs, and simulation-based learning.
• Collaborate with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators to develop educational content.
• Evaluate training programs and participant learning outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.
• Assist with quality management activities and identify educational opportunities to promote continuous improvement.
• Support hospital mission, policies, and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality and fostering a teamwork-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent experience with approval to pursue degree).
• Current Oregon RN license.
• Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years hospital nursing experience, including at least 3 years in an operating room setting.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching adult learners and developing courses.
• Familiarity with simulation training tools and software.
• Prior role as a clinical staff educator or in nursing education.
• Knowledge of electronic health records and basic computer networking.
