Job Title

• Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, evening/night shift, 5 days per week (Tuesday through Saturday), 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, and deliver surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with hospital standards
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of processed items using electronic charting systems
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines in sterile processing procedures
• Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient surgical operations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
• Valid California license (permanent, no temp licenses accepted) at time of submission
• Up-to-date profile with references, relevant certifications, and COVID vaccination documentation
• Familiarity with Epic charting system (highly preferred)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in hospital or surgical setting
• Knowledge of medical device sterilization and hospital protocols
• Ability to float within hospital departments as needed
• Experience with compliance documentation, including Nursys reports and background checks
