Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Oncology

Schedule / Job Type
13-week contract | Night shifts (4x12 hours) | Weekdays and every other weekend | On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care in medical surgical and oncology units, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and bio therapies (certification preferred)
• Start IVs and perform patient assessments, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and address clinical needs
• Document all nursing activities accurately in the electronic medical record system
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, including those specific to oncology care

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for WV or a compact state; pending licenses accepted with restrictions
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (must be via American Heart Association)
• Ability to start IVs and perform bedside assessments
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar inpatient setting
• Willingness to complete required modules before start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience (preferred but not required)
• ONS chemo/bio certification (preferred)
• Travel nursing experience is a plus, but not required
