- Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment
- Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care for obstetric patients in a busy hospital setting
- Assist with procedures such as c-sections, vaginal deliveries, epidurals, cerclages, and fetal monitoring
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, doulas, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and document patient progress using advanced fetal monitoring and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Support both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients, including unblocked/unepiduralized cases
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, leadership, and patient-centered care to enhance the patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital labor and delivery experience
- Valid certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM-C or AWHONN
- Ability to circulate a cesarean section
- Comfortable managing both low and high-risk obstetric cases
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with unblocked/unepiduralized patients
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Mom/Baby or couplet care experience
- Familiarity with GE fetal monitor systems and Meditech or CPN EMR systems
