Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a busy Labor & Delivery unit.
- Assist with deliveries, including vaginal, cesarean, and high-risk procedures such as cerclages and versions.
- Monitor fetal wellbeing using GE fetal monitoring systems and interpret EFM-C or AWHONN guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and doulas to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Circulate during cesarean sections and support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Support both low and high-risk obstetric patients with compassion and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year recent acute care hospital L&D experience.
- Current BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring including EFM-C or AWHONN.
- Ability to care for unblocked/unepiduralized patients.
- Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Mom/Baby and couplet care.
- Familiarity with obstetric procedures such as c-sections, D&C’s, and care of fetal demise.
- Ability to circulate during cesarean deliveries.
- Experience managing both low and high-risk obstetric cases.
