Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, contractual (8-week assignment), day shift, 5x8s with flexibility and alternating weekends, evenings (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Collect venous blood samples from inpatient and outpatient clients at a hospital setting.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens following hospital protocols.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance standards, including EKG testing when required.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with nursing staff and management.
• Follow hospital and union policies, including certification and credentialing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NY State Phlebotomy Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient phlebotomy experience.
• Current NY license in hand or ETA on issue date.
• Ability to work 8-hour evening shifts with flexibility and alternating weekends.
• Must be able to complete EKG testing within 72 hours of signing.
• Must submit a hard copy of license or certification within 48 hours of onboarding.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to submit to background check as required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Strong understanding of hospital protocols and union regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
