Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing services to patients experiencing infections, complications from chronic diseases, and comorbidities

• Care for patients recovering from general surgery, colorectal procedures, short-stay surgeries, and specialty procedures including gynecology oncology, urology, and procedural gastroenterology

• Assess, monitor, and respond to varying levels of patient acuity across Medical Surgical unit settings

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

• Participate in mentoring and precepting programs that support nursing growth, teamwork, and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana or compact state eligibility

• Ability to work night shift in a fast-paced acute care environment

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Commitment to patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Medical Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting

• Experience or interest in specialty areas such as gynecology oncology, urology, gastroenterology, or colorectal surgery

• New graduate nurses with a passion for Medical Surgical nursing are encouraged to apply
