Lead Outpatient Physical Therapist

Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, No Weekend or Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for supervision of staff and daily clinic operations, collaborating with system rehabilitation leaders on program development and quality improvement.

  • Evaluate patients' physical conditions using tests, medical history, and observation to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, and work-related injuries.

  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities as appropriate.

  • Maintain close professional collaboration with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons to coordinate care, provide timely updates, and optimize treatment plans.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and post-discharge care.

  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Indiana, or eligibility to obtain licensure.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and manual therapy skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Interest in leadership development and comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, with a focus on sports medicine.

  • Certification or specialized training in techniques such as McKenzie, Maitland, Dry Needling, or Graston.

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
