Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes across assigned units, including the NICU.

• Perform bedside diagnostic procedures as clinically indicated.

• Review and maintain individualized respiratory care plans for patients.

• Conduct patient evaluations and make appropriate adjustments to care based on findings.

• Serve as a preceptor for students and newly hired staff to support onboarding and skill development.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC.

• Current Indiana State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

• Current CPR certification.

• ACLS and NRP certifications required, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer.

• Must be able to be on call and lift up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification is preferred but not required.

• S.T.A.B.L.E. program certification is preferred but not required.

• Prior experience in a NICU or acute care respiratory therapy setting.
