Key Responsibilities

• Scrub on a high volume of general surgery cases including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic colon resection, laparoscopic appendectomy, cystoscopy, hysterectomy, vascular, ENT, and urology procedures.

• Assist with DaVinci robotic surgical cases, operating fully independently with the robotic system.

• Support a surgical department with up to 14 general surgery suites and 20–40 cases per day across a total of 29 operating suites.

• Participate in call rotation including every third full weekend, holiday call, and a 30-minute call response time requirement.

• Float as needed to support other surgical teams or sterile processing department (SPD) when qualified.

• Document and operate within an EPIC OpTime EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based surgical experience (candidates with at least 1.5 years in a Level I Trauma Center will be considered).

• Demonstrated experience in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT.

• Full independent proficiency with the DaVinci robotic surgical system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, multi-suite hospital operating room environment.

• Familiarity with EPIC OpTime or similar surgical EMR platforms.

• Level I Trauma experience (required for candidates applying to mid, evening, or night shift positions).
