Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Dixon, IL

Schedule / Job Type:

• 3 shifts per week
• Night shifts (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive MedSurg nursing care for adult patients with common diagnoses such as NSTEMI, COPD, PNA, Sepsis, and AKI
• Monitor and assess patient status, including reading and signing off on tele strips with MTs scheduled to read strips throughout the shift
• Administer medications and perform bedside procedures, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to coordinate patient care
• Utilize RT equipment, including heated high flow devices, and support patients with telemedicine as needed
• Adhere to department-specific orientation requirements and maintain good hygiene and uniform standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts and perform duties independently

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in ICU, ER, or Behavioral Health Care (BHC) is a plus for floating opportunities
• Comfort with RT equipment such as heated high flow units and tele monitors
