Full-Time | Permanent | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including NSTEMI, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, and AKI

• Serve in a Primary Charge Nurse capacity, providing unit leadership and oversight throughout the shift

• Monitor telemetry strips and sign off on readings throughout the shift in coordination with scheduled monitor technicians

• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5, with potential to manage up to 1:6 as needed

• Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes

• Float to other units (ICU, ER, or Behavioral Health) based on individual experience level; floating is not required outside of Med Surg for those without applicable experience

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience

• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and every other holiday

• Comfortable working in a telemetry-monitored unit environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Charge Nurse or leadership role within a Med Surg setting

• Experience with ICU, Emergency Room, or Behavioral Health environments (relevant to optional float opportunities)

• Familiarity with heated high-flow respiratory equipment and respiratory therapy collaboration
