Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

RN – Mother Baby (Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive patient assessment data and analyze findings to determine diagnoses, expected outcomes, and individualized plans of care
• Implement and evaluate patient-centered plans of care, employing strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment
• Serve in a catch/transition nurse capacity and act as Charge Nurse as needed
• Float to other departments as a safety companion when required
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrate research findings, ethical provisions, and current professional practice standards into all areas of nursing care

Required Qualifications

• Current Montana Registered Nurse licensure
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• STABLE certification required within two years of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required; recertification every two years
• Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and after-hours, with regular and sustained attendance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Labor and Delivery experience including antepartum, intrapartum, preoperative, circulator, and PACU roles
• Strong emotional intelligence with demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments
• Experience working in busy, high-stress clinical settings with the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism
