Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Primary schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM); start times may vary as early as 6:00 AM based on surgical case load. Position includes on-call rotation approximately one night per two-week pay period, every 5th to 6th weekend, and holiday call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team throughout each case
• Participate in on-call rotation, including overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage
• Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and mandatory reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Completion of State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training
• Must be able to remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on-call
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) preferred
• Prior experience in a multi-specialty surgical environment
