Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Three 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends Required | On-Call Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as patient advocate in the circulator role while acting as a resource for the sterile field
- Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a variety of surgical procedures including total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and robotic cases (GYN, colorectal, general)
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within an 11-OR suite environment
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient care management
- Participate in on-call rotation, averaging 5–6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week sign-up period (approximately 15 call shifts per month)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary OR team including RNs, scrub techs, and surgical support techs
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to submission
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Experience in orthopedics, total joints, neurosurgery, and robotic-assisted surgery
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability and willingness to take on-call shifts including weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both circulator and scrub roles
- CNOR certification
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative approach to patient care
