Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Evanston, IL (Floating Position – Multiple Chicagoland Area Locations)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:3
• Float across multiple hospital locations as assigned, without a designated home base unit
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic health records
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKG findings as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to all unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements across assigned facilities

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of strong ICU nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Passed EKG test with a score of 80% or higher (required at time of submission)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in cardiac and/or neurological ICU settings
• CCRN certification
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple clinical environments
