Job Title

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

• Peoria, IL

Schedule / Job Type

• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to post-operative surgical patients, trauma cases, and overflow medical patients
• Administer IV therapies, wound care, dressing changes, and pain management
• Monitor patients with telemetry, handle NGs, drains, and central lines
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment
• Document patient care and progress accurately using electronic health records
• Assist with patient mobility, vital signs, and daily living activities with patient care techs

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application process
• BLS certification
• Experience with post-op care, critical thinking, and bedside manner
• Knowledge of IV therapy, wound care, and patient monitoring
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience on a Medical Surgical unit
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to manage patients on telemetry and handle common diagnoses such as post-op recovery, trauma, and pain management
