Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts between 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 40 hours per week | Weekend rotation required | On-call required approximately once per month | Must be willing to take call on holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub and circulating duties during cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist surgical team throughout cardiac surgeries, ensuring proper instrumentation and sterile technique
- Float to additional OR and sterile processing areas as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend and holiday call coverage
- Adhere to all facility protocols, safety standards, and nicotine-free facility policies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Previous circulating experience required
- Recent and strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries required
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as assigned
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with sterile processing department (SPD) workflows
- Demonstrated ability to float across multiple OR settings
