Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: April 21, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum nursing care for 3–4 couplets per shift on a high-volume, high-risk postpartum unit delivering 400–500 babies per month
- Perform and interpret POC glucose monitoring and support breastfeeding education and assistance
- Assess and manage postpartum hypertension and postpartum hemorrhage
- Assist with circumcision procedures as needed
- Utilize Meditech and CPN EMR systems to document patient care accurately
- Adhere to established standards of behavior and unit guidelines throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; at least 1 year of current acute care hospital postpartum experience required
- Active RN licensure (compact or Kansas state license)
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- High-risk postpartum nursing experience
- Level 2 Nursery experience
