Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee a comprehensive activity program addressing patients'/residents' social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual needs
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized activity programs to support patients'/residents' dignity, mental capacity, and physical functioning
• Foster patient/resident feelings of usefulness, self-confidence, self-respect, and empowerment through meaningful activity
• Manage budget development and monitoring for the activity program
• Supervise, direct, and train activity program staff
• Lead performance improvement initiatives related to the activity program

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Activities Coordinator involving planning, assessing, and coordinating a comprehensive activity program in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting
• Knowledge of human anatomy and administrative practices related to patient/resident activity programs
• Familiarity with treatment procedures in a hospital or medically oriented institution or program
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Workers
• Valid Driver's License required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with budget preparation and financial monitoring in a healthcare setting
• Prior experience planning and conducting staff training programs
