Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Evanston, IL (Float Position – Multiple Chicagoland Area Facilities)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a standard ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:3
• Float between multiple facilities within the health system as assigned, without a designated home base unit
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic health records
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards across assigned locations

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of strong ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting
• Passed EKG interpretation test with a score of 80% or higher (required at time of submission)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in cardiac and/or neurological ICU settings
• CCRN certification
• Prior float pool or multi-site nursing experience
